WITH MIMMA CALIGARIS, ALBERTO MARELLO AND A GIFT OF GIAN PAOLO ORMEZZANO

Friday 31 May 2019 - Coppi belongs to everyone. Between books and storytelling. Leafing through the book of Mimma Caligaris of the periodical Il Piccolo, Eterno Fausto (published by Soged), still gives pages of poetry of cycling. Told with the contribution of Alberto Marello, director of IlPiccolo of Alessandria and with a tribute by Gian Paolo Ormezzano, literature of cycling and sport! An event coordinated by the Fondazione Circolo dei lettori di Torino for Regione Piemonte on the centenary of the Campionissimo's birth.

With the event on Sunday 9 June (starting at 6 pm), the Alessandria Città delle Biciclette - AcdB Museum continues its storytelling on the 100Coppi thread, marking a new stage in the promotion of the museum that tells the story of the first bicycle to arrive in Italy in 1867. The small museum in Alessandria, housed in the beautiful Palazzo Monferrato in Via San Lorenzo 21, in the capital of Piedmont, owned by the Chamber of Commerce of Alessandria, opens to a meeting "storytelling" of the myth of Fausto Coppi that starts from the pages of a book with a round shape like a wheel, publishing success in a few weeks of release, published by Il Piccolo di Al.

The author Mimma Caligaris, an authoritative sportswriter, together with the director of IlPiccolo Alberto Marello, will take us into the story of stories, a story that pedals back in time and tells today as it did 100 years ago of the passion for a Myth in the history of Sport such as Fausto Coppi, a Myth that still represents an example of positive values and a story that belongs to all of us. The art of sporting words and feelings, brushed with the experience of sport lived and written about far and wide in the world's greatest events, will be the cherry on the cake of the Campionissimo and will be a dessert served by Gian Paolo Ormezzano, one of the greatest sports writers that Italian publishing can boast.

For AcdB it is also a time of balances, of numbers: those recorded so far and counting the visits since January 1, 2018 (2018 were almost 4000 visitors, in the first five months of 2019 were more than 3500) are numbers that also enjoy the light of the success of Palazzo Monferrato, a place of culture and worship, which will close just in the next few days one of its very successful temporary exhibitions as Alessandria Scolpita, which also brought to the museum of bicycles a flurry of new visitors, conquered by the two-wheeled history of which Alessandria boasts: a place of memory from which many successes that pedal through history were triggered....
