Press Release - THE SHORTEST DAY - ITALIAN SHORT FILM DAY: THE COURTOMETER FEAST
Since 2010 the shortest day of the year, December 21, has been consecrated International Short Film Day. In more than fifty countries, the anniversary is celebrated by programming shorts in theaters, on television or in specific events.
The success of the initiative makes it Short Film Day an ideal showcase for the short works that, during the year, hardly ever leave the festival circuit. The Centro Nazionale del Cortometraggio has created a program of recent Italian short films that aims to be a gallery on Italian production, dedicated to our country and abroad.
A formula that allows a wide diffusion of the Italian short film in the world, with always extremely positive results. The Shortest Day is an opportunity to access a production that rarely arrives at the hall, mostly confined to the festival circuit, able to meet the favors of the public for its originality and freshness.
On the occasion of Short Film Day 2018, the Association La Voce della Luna, in collaboration with the National Short Film Centre, the Culture and Development Association, the Fic (Federazione Italiana Cineforum), Officinema Laboratorio cinematografico dell'I.I.S Saluzzo Plana, organize a special event that includes the screening of some of the best contemporary shorts.
The evening will take place on Friday 21st December starting at 9 p.m. at the Associazione Cultura e Sviluppo di Alessandria (Piazza De André 76). A toast at the end of the evening. Admission free.
