The fact that the Touring Club Italiano has, with great conviction, given its patronage to this initiative is more than natural, almost a duty. Riccardo Guasco is an illustrator (we call him that because he does not like to be called an artist) who devotes his refined creativity to ennobling the dynamic elegance of the bicycle, in an equally dynamic whole with the man who rides it.
The exhibition is proposed by the "Alessandria Città delle Biciclette" Museum, and this too has significance, given that Alessandria was the first national headquarters of the Italian cycling union from which, as a new offshoot, the handful of cyclists who saw in the new "pedal car" a powerful and free instrument of knowledge capable of promoting that "human scale" tourism that was the basis of their association, the Italian Touring Club Ciclistico Italiano, broke away, with courtesy and friendship but with different aims...
